Rainy Saturday

All this morning I searched all over for anything to inspire me. I read through all my favorite blogs and walked all around my house. It did not hit me until it staring poring rain. Possibly my favorite weather is when it is pouring rain outside. Except when driving, then it is just terrifying. However, the rain brings out all the beauty of nature to me. I absolutely love the look of the dark skies and water hitting the pavement. Also, I love the look of the sun on the soaked world after the storm. It is almost as if it is glowing. It helps me to see that everything is truly beautiful. Nothing like a good rain storm gets me to reflect on my life. The rain gets my mind racing about what I'm doing with my life and how i can be a better person. I cannot think of anything more inspiring to me. Storms are just so beautiful. I hope everyone can something truly inspiring for them. Much love, I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Reunion Adventures

For the 4th of July I was reunited with my best friends from school who I have not seen since May. We went up to Milwaukee for the day and night. We're a pretty eccentric group of people, so when we're together things can get a little crazy. We spent most of the day wandering around Milwaukee catching up. There was also a lot of singing and dancing going on through out the day. later in the night we made our way to summerfest. Not knowing which bus we needed we left it up to fate aand ended up where we needed to be. Once we got off the bus we didn't go straight to summerfest. We ran around the lake and in a random fountian....I have no idea why? We ended up at a bench outside the concert when I realized I lost my wallet. Which made the night way more hectic than need be. We never found the wallet but somehow ended up inside summerfest! All in all it was quite and interesting trip. I'm very excited for school to start again soon so I can be with my friends for another year at Marquette!! Happy Friday!!!

Vintage Lovin'

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to the 20's or 30's when our lives weren't completely run by technology. I love looking old photos they are so inspiring to me. Everyone is so classy and beautiful. I personally like looking at old photos better than new ones. Old pictures take you back to memories you might have forgotten about. They tell stories about different places and people from long ago. They may not be in the best quality, but sometimes thats what makes the picture beautiful. Stay classy everyone!

My Week In New York: Central Park

New York City is a great place for those people who want want to be in walking distance of anything they need. It's not a city for those who want big backyards and lots of open space. The city is almost completely empty of greenery and nature. Which is why Central Park is so unique and beautiful. It's a giant park located is a busy city. During one my strolls through the city I found myself at the opening of Central Park. I had time to kill before I met Marisa for lunch so I went in. It was almost as if I had completely left the city. Central park was in complete contrast of the city it was in the middle of. People were so much more relaxed while they slept on the grass or went for jogs through the park. It was an incredibly beautiful park. A few days later after Marisa got of work we went to Laduree, with two of her co workers, for macaroons and ice cream. Central Park was the perfect place to walk through afterwards. My trip to New York was absolutely great! I can't wait to go back again!

My Week In New York: Manhattan

During my trip to New York I was able to stay with my friend in  her apartment in Midtown. She lives only a few blocks fro Times Square. Being right in the middle of downtown there was always things to do. The city was never dead people were always constantly out. Everything was in walking distance and if needed I could always take the subway. On my first night we went to her apartment maybe for five minutes just so I could set my stuff down and then we were out walking around the city. When we got back to her apartment that night we had welcome to New York Mexican Fiesta! During the next few days we walked all over the city going to different store, markets, and restaurants. One night we ventured up to the Upper East Side for dinner. We went to the restaurant Serendipity, which is famous for their frozen hot chocolates. After that we did some more walking around and ended up at a three story candy bar.  The next night we went a little classier for dinner and went to Gordon Ramsay's restaurants with one of my friends co workers. We running a little behind and ended running there to make it somewhat on time for our reservations. On my final day in New York the constant walking around finally started to take a toll on my feet. However, I still managed one last day of shopping and wandering through the city. Very slowly I might add though! That night Marisa and I got dinner with her friend, Daniel, that she works with. We were also able to get him drunk for the first time that night. What can I say we're great influences on people!!
